On top of seeing bear attacks (often in suburbs within a fifteen minute drive) on the news on a regular basis, you are walking your dogs in a ritzy neighbourhood... and see a coyote on the other side of the street... and this is the second time that this has happened to you within the last year.

Has anyone else ever noticed that the "small car" spots in malls, McDonald parking lots, and similar places are almost exclusively always filled up with big honking SUVs and the occasional sedan, while the Jettas, Echos, and Smart Cars of the world are parked further away in the normal parking spots?

My beefs are the following:

A) BC is TOO left wing.
BC has somehow socialised car insurance. You HAVE to buy from the government car insurance agency. It has a monopoly, you MUST pay their rates. My car insurance through Meloche Monnex gave me a discount for being a Mt A alumni, but I'll have to drop it because they aren't allowed to cover me in BC.
